Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
(Matthew 19:13-14 ESV)

Dear Servants of Christ,

I am very thankful for the gift of children and youth, whom God has entrusted to our care, and all those who are called to minister to them through our Sunday Schools, Youth Groups, Vacation Bible Schools and worship services. The Diocese of Cascadia is very committed to the care and safety of our youth and children and so all volunteers, lay staff and clergy are required to have a background check and take an online child protection course. To make this as easy and accessible as possible, PAF has provided the Protect My Ministries online program to do this from the comfort of your home computer or laptop. This has been approved by our insurance company at a low cost to your church, and takes only a little bit of your time. Please do take advantage of this offering and again, thank you for caring for “tomorrow’s church leaders.”

Faithfully,

+Kevin
