In the Diocese of Cascadia we are committed to starting new churches across the northwest region. We are currently working in cooperation with the diocese of Churches for the Sake of Others and Converge Northwest to plant All Saints Anglican in Everett, Wa. We are also actively working with Rev. Jason Clark (Salem, Or.) and Rev. Jesse Martin (Ellensburg, Wa.) to plant two other churches. In the past five years we have planted at least 1 new church every year. We are continuing to work and trust God for his kingdom to come in the Pacific Northwest, believing that he will draw men, women and children unto himself through the planting of more new Anglican churches.
We see church planting as our primary means to fulfill what God has called us to do in the Northwest. Planting new; sacramental, gospel centered, Anglican churches, helps us to accomplish the work of loving God and others. We also believe that it is the most effective way of fulfilling the great commission; making disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that Christ has commanded.
The Rev. Canon Ryan Brotherton has been appointed by our Bishop to help us focus more strategically on church planting within the diocese. He leads our church planting initiative and the team that provides assistance to future and current church planters. We have systems in place and are continuing to develop new ones that help prepare and sustain new churches. We do this by providing help for the planter in discernment and training, as well as providing practical resources for new churches such as; finacial support, assessment for planters, coaching, accounting and bookkeeping services, a 501C3 to operate under, help with incorporation and bylaws, and spiritual oversight as needed.
If you would like to partner with us in the work of planting; sacramental, gospel centered, Anglican churches in the Pacific Northwest please let us know. Whether you are a potential planter, a financial supporter, one who is called to pray, or one who is called to join a team to help start a new church, we want to hear from you...
