Wildfires in Spokane

The wildfires in eastern Washington are a tragic reminder of the fallen world we live in. As of this writing, over 11,000 acres have burned, and over 900 structures have been consumed by the fire. Over 65,000 people are under evacuation orders. The Anglican Relief and Development Fund is working to support the immediate needs of those directly affected by these devastating fires. Please consider helping financially by donating to ARDF. Keep everyone impacted in your prayers, and pray for the firefighters and first responders sacrificing and working hard to save lives.

“But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31

Letter From The Bishop

Dear people of God in Cascadia,

Now is the time to all be in prayer and continue to pray for all facing the fires in Spokane:

Almighty God, by your Word you laid the foundations of the earth, set the boundaries of the sea, and still the wind and waves. Surround our brothers and sisters with your grace and peace, and preserve them through this fire. By your Spirit, lift up those who have fallen, strengthen those who work to rescue or rebuild, and fill us with the hope of your new creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Yours in Jesus,
